  1. Hoax..I say hell yes! Woudl it make sense to hurt the dog? Why not just strap a hook to it via a thin kevlar harness? Wouldn't you wanna keep them swimming for a long time?
  2. a Vegas kinda thing? You know: "What happens at the Rope-up stays at the Rope-up". The silence is deafening.
  3. May I suggest The Globe as well!
  4. Bing back the freedom fries!
  5. From the research that was ultimately being discussed: adds a bit of important context...

  7. You must work for the ACLU!
  8. Oh my MalCon you must be thinking of the 1930's!
  9. Throw out some comparison climbs. Odd thing about ratings is Boulder Canyon always seemed harder to me than Eldo. How do you think Athlete's Feet compares? Seem harde rin my memory than FFS. Anyway ratings are always pretty darn subjective.
  10. See two post or so above. I do not think Beacon ratings are easy but do think that Free For Some is a soft 11a.
  11. I didnt say they weren't hard just soft for their rating. 5.11 is hard
  12. I can't remember Beacon being off as far as ratings go. Free For Some is soft but Pipeline is as well. Blownout seemed about right. Serenity itself has a soft rating so it might not be the best comparison.

    Vampires

    hmmm
  14. I agree with Bunglehead Jack Johnson is the best of his fusion soon to be funk albums. JM’s guitar on the first side of JJ is amazing. One thing about these albums (IASW, BB JJ) that does bug me a bit is that they are totally studio creations. The amount of editing is amazing. Compare to "Emergency" which was created in a couple of days the difference is obvious. Less of an on the edge feel.
  15. Hmmm a quote from Griz's link which you seem not to understand:
  16. In Seattle be there or be square! Klenke that means you! link

  22. "mythical" So you think that lots of very good climbers dont pass thru the state every year?
  23. Matt - I am sure Supercrack's been climbed more than once. As far as the straw man idea it might not work. For example there are at least a dozen people at the VW who could climb it that never post here and never check out cc.com.
  24. How does someone tell if a traverse like the North Picketts traverse are in fact FA’s? It seems that over the last few decades there have been lots of climbers with significant skills passing through the NW. The real impediment isn’t difficulty but rather finding good weather. I know for a fact that some traveling climbers have put several difficult (5.11+) routes up in the Enchantments over several summers and never reported them. In another thread PMS asked if I knew of any ascents of Supercrack. I know its been climbed a few times but with a hang or two. The odd thing is I know of very few people who have ever wanted to go hike over to even attempt it because it is a pain to get too. Lots of strong rock climbers have passed through the state who would definitely be able to flash SC and not consider it a big deal.
