CBS I have used a lot of tape over the years. Via a variety of techniques. Some quite similar if not identical to this one. I am just letting him know my preferences. I don't belive there is "one" right way to tape. If I asked the question I would be interested in a variety of opinions.

CBS - From my perspective this system is bulky, doesn't protect fingers and a reused 'glove' seems likely not to be very stable.

Funny because the data supporting or contradicting your assertion is available. In your next post rather than supporting your claim you throw in some unrelated link to the Detroit Free Press. If you scratch a liberal you will often find fear combined with a sense of entitlement revealing a contempt for the little people and anyone more successful than they are.

The VII is a add on of the traditional system. There is certainly a clear logical discontinuity between 1-6 and 7. In fact when I first started climbing I can't recall even seeing a grade VII. The definition of the Alaska grades is down below:

Just to be clear a "commitment" grade (eg Alaska grade) is different from the traditional grade scale. (ie a grade VI ala' Half Dome)

So let's forget Wilson and why don't you just layout the facts that support your contention that Bush's assertion was incorrect.
