    Zenolith:

How is a suicidal attack on 5,000 - 6,000 civilians sitting at thier desks drinking coffee supposed to be construed as the terrorists just protecting themselves. Osama Bin Hiding says for all Muslims to kill Americans wherever they are, in uniform or civilian.

The terrorists brought this on and I believe we will end it. Unless you have totally lost your mind, (and lots of folks seem to around here), nobody can justify the attack on the WTC and Pentagon. I keep hearing "we need to understand why these poor people feel so angry at us" BS. Look at how the Taliban treat thier "own" people and it's easy to see these guys are just bloodthirsty murderers bent on destruction. mad.gif" border="0

  1. Check out Costco's gloves next time you are in there. $30 for goretex gloves with the extra long sleeve and drawstring closure. I don't think the liners are removable but, they seemed pretty nice. I plan to pick some up.

They are even equipped with some special "snot patch" on the back of the thumb for wiping your nose. I hadn't seen that feature before.

I heard an interesting thought on the Paul Harvey News & Comment this morning:

Drop pieces of the WTC wreckage from cargo planes all over the Taliban troops.

Probably not very effective, but it would send a message.

Would any of you peace lovin hippies feel different if one of your family members died in the attack? I think you would. Yes, you would.

You have a lot of posts cavedude!

I'm not sure why I feel so compelled to defend the (for once) aggressive action of our govt from these fruit cake peacenik commie crapheads, but I think I'm done using my energy for not.

BOMB THE TALITUBBYBAN!!!!! and hit Sadam while you're all the way overthere.

I volunteer you to go hold hands with the Taliban and sing "Michael Row Your Boat Ashore." and don't forget to teach them the group hug.

How many more jetliners would we let crash into buildings while we wait for "Legal" means to bring in Bin Laden? Whose legal system are we talking about? The ruling party in Afganistan sure arent goin to let Bin Ladin be brought in. International pressure? Like with Sadam, Castro etc. oh wait those guys are still in power.

  2. We oughta' lock ALL you foo's in the Muir shack with a pound of buds buring on a coleman stove and let you go at it - BATTLE CAGE ROYALE!!

It's really funny guys are taking this subject so seriously, I read the original post lastnight and thought nothing of it and SHAZAM look what we have here this morning! What a joke!

What if you went up to the muir shack and found one of them nude hikers in there? [Moon]

Are you running for office or sumthin? The communist party hasen't done well in these parts near as I can tell.

I can just picture George W running up to Osama Bin terorizin' for a post therapy hug and the Taliban all dies laughin their asses off. I guess that would accomplish the goal. rolleyes.gif" border="0

    SC:

I appreciate your well thought out reply, but, you and I are going to disagree on this forever, as I firmly belive there are people in this world who do not respond to or respect anything short of violence. It is their way of life and nothing less than a bullet or bomb will change that. It's a sad fact but I believe it is true. It's also regretable that more inocent people are going to die but, how many more inocent people should we let die in attacks on our country. Or do you not think we are inocent?

    War

Sorry to interupt here, but SC, do you think the resentment of the families of the victims of the WTC & Pentagon attacks are Justified? or just conservitive war hawk brainwashing?

    Alpine Tom:

The outrage you inquire about was in those countries/areas you mention. Just like the outrage is now here in the USA. I think you guys are making this way too complicated, we are attempting to break the organizations responsible for these attacks on our own soil. I agree most Afgans are inocent but, we have to be agressive and do whatever is necesary to punish and prevent. mad.gif" border="0 Keep bombing. mad.gif" border="0

    Gerg?:

Why are they in the military if they aren't willing to fight?

  3. One night I was sittin at a bar drankin some Schimt [big Drink] and enjoying some dueling banjo muzak with my white trash redneck buddies and we looked at some timid looking hippies trying to blend in and they jus' turned around and left!!

Like thier stuff don't stank er sumthin.

    Hairball:

One of my friends had a similar experience except the dude who befriended him also attempted to disrobe him shocked.gif" border="0 after the beer started flowing. The molester was promptly beaten into submission and relieved of his cooler of beers.

  4. From the Lake Serene Trail:

"follow the classic "tree root" path to an old cabin; here take the tread that begins from the front door and not the one that starts at the waterfall. Continue up the cliffy forest on foot and hand"

  5. After an unsuccesful attempt to secure some Krispy Kreams at 8:30 I arrived at the pub. Right away I noticed an election party for some poor politician dominated the scene. In the corner sat a group of fleece clad drinkers mostly involved in intense conversation. I also noticed Caveman sitting at another table with some rough looking guys across the room. I went over and said hi to a crusty looking guy sharing the table with Caveman

"hi - is this the Cascade Climbers table?"

    "no"

" come on man, don't give me a hard time I know climbers when I see them, I am Bronco...blah blah blah"

Caveman notices me chatting with my new friend and yells across the table "HEY ITS BRONCO! do you know that old dude? let me introduce you to the Cascade Climbers table" and he leads me over to the fleece clad group in the corner and promplty introduces me to

The evening proceded as you might expect with beta spewed everywhere and beer swilled [big Drink] (not spilled). Pretty gregarious all around.

On the way home, I went back to Krispy Kreams thinking it certainly would have cleared out by now, to find still and hour wait. mad.gif" border="0

  6. One of my favorites is on one of the variations to the route description of the N. Face of the N. Peak of Mt. Index -

".....ascend a steep rock wall to to a large hanging brush patch. Imitate a gorilla through the brush and bear right along the ...."
