I bought a pass just to be safe. I don't think the pass should have said Access Stewardship though. Something more like ...Held up for permit fee.
-
That's why it's nice having an old pickup . I don't worry much leaving it at the trailhead or when I'm pounding through the potholes either. It's nice to hear when someone gets caught . They usually get away with it.
-
Well there is more than one route on the West face.

I did the Impropable Traverse last year. I agree lots of fun. I don't remember any 1/4 inch bolts .We just used natural pro. Three knifeblades on the traverse.First one sure was thin plenty of places for other pro also. Yeah maybe you should start a little easier Dan . It is a route with alot of exposure . I think the guide says 5.7. I thought it was really pretty easy maybe one 5.7 move. By the way my partner following on the traverse had my camera and dropped it . Needless to say my camera was toast.

Well just thought I'd throw it out there captain I don't expect anyone to answer for it anyway. It would be nice if someone would put their name to it . Maybe they have access to a computer maybe not. I know I'm not the only climber in the state just one with a little respect.

I agree with Donna . Why isn't any of the people that are changing the character of these routes ever defending their position ? The perpetrator should have more respect...I think thats the problem.

I thought skis were to designed to impact the snow...if you were skiing on the highway I might agree with Atomic. I'm with you I think they should honor thier warranty. I will not buy from Atomic now or ever. Ed

I hope for those two to come out unscathed however as the time passes it doesn't look good. I do get fed up with people getting in these situations. 1 or 2 years...not long, and to go up in such a lousy forecast. Just asking for it I would think. Hope they return soon. Ed

Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Road: Possible Closure
Eddie replied to mikeadam's topic in Climber's Board
No kidding ...We pay for access and the closures increase . More money for the General Fund. -
I feel obligated to pass this on... Look at it.

I don't support activism in general..... I look at the issue then decide. I do not support the demo fees. I can already see examples of the forest service ignoring an area the has no fee. The Forest service had no problem funding road building when some more trees needed to be cut. -
I work in a large manufacturing plant about 45 miles south of Seattle. Boy did that building shake. People freakin too. It was quite an exciting time. I was waiting for a big lahar from Rainier to come down the valley but it never happened. Off work early now. Hope everyone is safe . Ed

Good one pope. I agree, don't be putting up any unnecessary bolts . There are plenty of bolted routes in the state to do without having to change or damage trad routes.
-
I guess my comments were more directed at anyone adding bolts after a first ascent. I also appreciate anyone replacing any rusty old 1/4 inch bolt.
-
If the routes been done without bolts don't add any. If you can't handle it stick to a toprope.
-
I agree with dane .

highclimb, looks like your hero Twight stepped on some Kryptonite.

Hi Skiers, I'm ready for the winter sports season. I like cross country skiing and alpine too. I have my season pass for the summit at Snoqualmie. Just need about 5 feet of snow now. I tried tele last year couldnt get the turn down though, still working on it. I've been looking for randonee gear I'll be doing that for sure and I won't give up on that tele turn. Oh yeah, I'll be doing some snowshoeing too, along with any winter climbing.Catch ya all later.
