Looking forward to it. GB Shouldnt that be Pirahna against The Fly or have you upgraded to Ergos now Gord

    Crazy

when the marsh is frozen is very easy to walk across it
  9. Fraser Valley: The unclimbed pillar way way up above the Mousetrap is almost in. Skinny icicle almost touching down. There IS a helicopter company located right at the base of the route...it'd be a cheap flight up there... or you could bushwack to the top from Hunter Creek and rap in. "Medusa" has some ice on 'er. Bottom to top but probably too thin as yet. Maybe next week. There is a real nice two-pitch line formed up in a certain drainage off the Coquihalla near the 3km mark on the logging road. Only problem it is above about 4 pitches of WI3 that aren't formed yet. I must keep this vague cause the whole thing is unclimbed. Once Ive done it I will tell you more details.

  12. Same model helmet, different person. It wouldnt be the first time Doug has been mistaken for 1) a long haired girl 2) Barry Blanchard or other native climber but as you see in the pic below he is lacking in the rack department
  13. Boogs? You mean like Bugaboos? I understood Hanging Glacier to be the thing above and right of of the NW arete with the big scary serac dropping ice down to the head of White Salmon valley. Did you start at start of NW arete and go up thrugh the rocks to gain N face or just do regular N face start traversing left from bivy knoll to snow/ice at bottom of N face then up and right below the ice bulge to the gully and out on the crest?

I have had a few unintended laughs reading that site Lammy. I wouldnt compare it to Alpinelite.com or a good site like that but i did glean the odd tidbit of useful info from it. For instance it is the only place I have heard mention of this Sherwood Forest crag in the Icicle. Anybody else got beta on dat?

I see on www.nwog.org main page that "R&D route" is Grade III !!! Perhaps this makes Outer Space Grade V After all a bivy is often required
