I too wouldn't respond. Calling Bob a scam by not replying is a little weak in my book.

Nowhere did I call "Bob" a scam. I do not know "Bob" personally, I know only from experience and from those from another post that he seems to post things for sale, reply with prices and for payment and then disappear. This is IMO questionable, unproffesional and dis-respectful. Plus, I am not the only one. It appears that Bob was Out of town.

seems odd that this guy is trying to sell, then is hard to get ahold of. Even if he did sell the items he should post or respond that the items were sold.

If you're going to post for sale and give prices in emails you should respond consistently or let people know you are going to be out of touch. Common courtesy.

I am always suspicious of people who want your money but can't give you a consistent way to get hold of them.

There are too many scammers out there. You have to be careful.

Before putting up a post like this, you might think that people could be dealing with personal matters and might be out of contact for a while. I just got back into town!

I just wanted to say that I bought the down jacket and pants from Bob, they arrived promptly and were exactly what I had been promised. As far as I'm concerned he's 100% reputable.

Bob is legitimate. I understand the worry, however, as the Int4rweb is a dangerous place.
