chris_w Posted September 24, 2001 Posted September 24, 2001 Flying pig sounds good. It will be nice to have a beer in a smoke free pub again. I still have to wash the smoke smell out of my clothes from the last pub club. chris Quote

Cpt.Caveman Posted September 24, 2001 Posted September 24, 2001 That has not been proven. Then if she somehow does we can arm wrestle Quote
carolyn Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 cavey, Fortunately for you my next scheduled appearance at a pub club probly wont be until next may or june...so you have plenty of time to practice chugging! Â Quote
miker Posted September 25, 2001 Author Posted September 25, 2001 OK, you mangy bunch of climbers, is there a pub club tomorrow?? If not I propose one up north at the flying pig brewery in Everett. A chance to get an early start on drinking for the rope-up and if people want to hook up for rides and what-not we could do that too. I myself have an empty station wagon leaving from Everett about 3:30 on Friday. So is anybody in for tomorrow night???? miker Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 Only if there is some kind of chicken sacrificial ceremony! Quote
miker Posted September 25, 2001 Author Posted September 25, 2001 Well there ain't many chickens amongst us, but I am sure we could sacrifice a plate of wings to your preferred deity or deities. Which came first, the chicken or the egg??? .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. the rooster ;P Â miker Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 Sounds like fun! I'll take Kung Pao Chicken ~extra Spicy and a pint of Guinnes Quote
dr._jay Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 can someone post a set of directions for those of us who missed the last one? Quote
rodeo Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 The Flying Pig is at 2929 Colby Ave in Everett. If you're going north on I-5, take the Broadway exit (which is on the left) and continue north to Hewitt. Turn left on Hewitt (going west) and continue on until you cross Colby. I can't remember if you can turn left onto Colby from Hewitt or not, but it should only be a half a block south of Hewitt on Colby. If you're heading south on I-5, just take the Hewitt Ave exit and head west until you get to Colby. All else is the same. -Climb on, Quote
Bronco Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 No left turn from Westbound Hewitt onto Colby my climbing friends, (unless you are driving a City Transit Bus) But the Pig is located just south of Hewitt on Colby. I can't make it tonight (class), but, I will be there in spirit wishing I was doing that instead of learning how to appraise income properties for the 5th time... Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 I think I will bless this meeting with some Guinness Xtra Stouts! Bronco give that sheeoot up man you missin out! Quote
Bronco Posted September 25, 2001 Posted September 25, 2001 Fish and chips and Guiness.....MMMMMMMM I think I'll take a long lunch today. Quote
miker Posted September 25, 2001 Author Posted September 25, 2001 Well, I do not believe they have Guinness, you will have to settle for their brews which usually includes an excellent Chocolate Stout and or Porter. I will bring some extra Guinness for the weekend though to keep us all in tip top carbo-loaded shape. miker Quote
