We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Trip: - Rainbow Serpent

Date: 2/11/2014

Trip Report:

Its fatter than ever! Tough drive in there right now, but if you haven't seen the Recital Hall, it is amazing and worth every step. We broke Rainbow into 4 pitches to stay warm and not run out of screws.Fun, steep and exposed, it is one of the funnest ones Ive done.

Yeah, buddy! Looks like the lower sections have thinned out since we were out there, but the top is FAT! I'll post a couple shots later. We were lucky enough to have Fearful in great shape also, was it still safe to climb?

We had different techniques to stay warm, we climbed Rainbow in one pitch with a small amount of simuling.

Here's some shots from 12/31/13. Was Rainbow still a shower when you climbed it?
