Smith Rock Crossing the River.

Heading to Smith Rock next weekend and would like to climb in the Marsups.....and would like to cross the river and not have to hike around. Anybody have any information on the current status of the river crossing? Was there in Oct and we crossed the river just fine.

Hike around. Good for you and good for the kids. A little effort is good for your health instead of trying to cheat nature.

The river has been running around 150 cfs, so you should be fine in several places to cross.

 

I tested out an old 2x4 between the rocks on a Jan day and took a nice swim in the Crooked. I climbed the rest of the day in my spare poly tights and friends wool jacket. Felt like 90's again.

Who is taking the kids? This is a no kid weekend. Hence the river crossing. Thanks for all the beta.
