bstach Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I am planning on taking the family on an over night hike to Elfin Lakes. Wondering about trail conditions...any snow up there yet? Planning to stay in the hut- i understand there is a propane stove there, is this true? Also, wondering where a good place is to leave a car overnight in Squamish? Thanks for the info. Quote
genepires Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 why not just leave a car (I assume your group has 2 cars) at the chief campground? Is the TH not safe from prowlers still? Quote
bstach Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 Thanks for the suggestion. Not worried about prowlers...its more my low-rider won't make it up the road. Quote
G-spotter Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Fresh snow down to 1600m. Knee deep up high. Quote
bstach Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 The summit of Paul Ridge is only 1660m. So sounds like we will be tramping through a small bit of fresh snow for almost half the way. Thx for the info. Quote
