Bronco Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 THE SYSTEM FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY LOOKS WEAK AND IT DISSIPATES SATURDAY AFTERNOON OVER THE CASCADES. THIS WILL ALSO BE A LOW QPF EVENT. HOWEVER THE ACCOMPANYING UPPER TROUGH IS DEEP AND THE MOUNTAINS WILL COOL OFF SIGNIFICANTLY THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING. THE SNOW LEVEL WILL FALL TO 6000 FEET...PERHAPS EVEN 5000 FEET IN THE NORTHERNMOST CASCADES. THIS IS A BIG CHANGE FROM THE SUNNY AND WARM CONDITIONS IN THE MOUNTAINS OVER THE LAST THREE WEEKS OR SO...AND WILL ISSUE A SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT THIS AFTERNOON TO HIGHLIGHT THE CHANGE. Quote
