mtnhippy Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 There are two shrunds that are opening up but had good snow bridges on 7/4. Prouty Glacier showed no signs of crevasses. Quote
Xerinae Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 (edited) Was up there Sunday (7/9) Â Traverses were in good shape, solid snow in early day, softer later. Â Bowling alley is pretty icy with a small section of water ice near the top. Good enough to take screws in numerous parts. Â Here are some shots: View near camp at 8,000 ft Sunrise Beginning of bowling alley Bowling Alley Bowling Alley Bowling Alley: rime ice near the top of the pitch summit block in the background going home Edited July 16, 2011 by Xerinae Quote

sdizzle25 Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 (edited) Terrible Traverse Bowling alley. Should be clear in a week of so, Ice wasnt great, certainly climbale though. climbed N and Middle sisters 7/22. N was clear of snow until the pretty easy traverse and the quiet bowling alley. avoid the southeast ridge like the F***ing plague though, it sucks Edited July 25, 2011 by sdizzle25 Quote
