powderhound Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 come on Eric i have been waiting patiently in my cube all day for your TR....lets have it p.s. I bet you were glad it was slick(raining and hailing) part of the time and not always so rough(jugging). Quote
ivan Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 honored to be the object of your affection, good sir, but sadly i left my camera in the back of geoff's ride, so it'll be a day i reckon before i can get my damn pictures and lash a few lewd remarks together to make them sing - there's several that are worth the wait i reckon though fuck, what a couple of days! incessantly alternating between driving sleet and warm, still sun - it's a fine route in shit weather though hey, someone's put a lot of work into replacing the bolts to support a free ascent - don't know if they've ticked it yet or not but you should be all over it! powderhound Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 BBQ Brawts the first day...and hiked the drill around for several hours. Replaced the bolts on the Roo! Did some Comfortchizeling. BBQ Chicken the second day and climbed a couple routes around the mudpile. Mostly hung out in the cave and watched you three boys progress. Tyler's has got some good photos of the hovel Quote
corvallisclimb Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 HAHA is it going to take you as long to write a TR as it took you guys to climb the damn thing We were worried about you guys for a little bit, but ya'll just kept pushing, and really sped things up the last 100' hehe Quote
corvallisclimb Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Oh ya and the Picnic Lunch Wall went free last summer by Brad Heller from SLC at a modest 12d. The crux being pulling the bulge before the belay on the second pitch. He did a great job finishing up the re-bolting job that Jim Anglin and I started. He said it would definatly go clean, so did you guys do it clean? When I did it last in the Fall of 09 we nailed 3 times I think, but I'm totally light! Way to finially knock her off! Now go do Palo Verde. A touch more challenging, and you surley get to play with the hammer a bit. Quote
