Wedged between a grade two and a grade three. This is okay in California but seriously I think its time for a repeat and a down grade:) Edited March 11, 2011 by powderhound Quote
Pete_H Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Looks longer and harder than the grade II and III and Ian's a pretty legit dude. Quote

Off_White Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 If it's not grade IV it doesn't make the cut for the AAJ. Quote
Maxtrax Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I think its time for a repeat Why don't you go do so? I know Ian and he is anything but someone who artificially inflates grades. If he says it's a grade IV, I trust him that it's a grade IV. Quote
mountainsloth Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 oh quit bitching. Climb it first then bitch if you feel it needs to be downgraded. Technical pitches take longer. Quote
kukuzka1 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 that sure has a resemblence to sperry peak Quote
bwwakaranai Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I always thought of the grade scale as a way of keeping climbers out of trouble on repeat ascents. Id rather they over-shoot it than sandbag. Im curious on what California climbs you feel are soft compared to NW. The system is vague and Ive experienced discrepancies in both states. What matters much more is that its a fun route dont you think? Quote
