getting to Mount Baker

Four of us are planning to travel (presumably to/from Seattle) with climbing gear to/from Mount Baker Wed 23 - Mon 28 Jun. We’re currently planning to rent a car. Are there other, better options (such as shuttle services)?

I believe there may be shuttles that will get you to Bellingham, but then you are only half way there. You could rent a car in Bellingham for the rest of the ride. I think the best option is to rent a car at SeaTac airport and drive to Mt Baker.

I'm told that www.airporter.com shuttle would get you to Bellingham if that helps.

Ask the airporter to take you to the trailhead. They won't.

 

the car rental is a better option. Whatever you do, DO NOT tell them you are driving on a dirt road. Tell them you are going to bellingham. They will force you to rent a expensive SUV and buy even more expensive insurance. The road is fine for any car except a delorian.

Ditto. Rent a car, from Seattle will be the cheapest. The prices are ridiculous for car rentals in Bellingham.
