Pilchuck71 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Trip: Mt Erie - Various Date: 4/17/2010 Trip Report: Spent the day dodging raindrops at Mt Erie. Found some dry rock here and there between showers. Did a full tour of the place with two succesful leads, one attempt and numerous tope rope laps as well as the full hike around the South aspect top to bottom, West to East and back up again. Ticks abound, as we were attacked by a rogue band of the parasites on the scramble back up the east side. Only shot a few pics - Name this crag for a nifty* prize! Pics - Quote
curtveld Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 You know Tyson, you really shouldn't post photos like that of Erie. There are some naive folks out there that might become convinced that the place actually has some nice climbing. Quote
Pilchuck71 Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Ahh daggers! You know Curt you may have a point. Did I mention TICKS! Really big hungry TICKS! Maybe that will help dissuade the masses! Quote
skibum1087 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Is that the elusive Allen Henshaw Pre-Memorial? If so, did you approach from the lower parking as for main wall? I have not yet been able to steer myself to it yet... Quote
Pilchuck71 Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Ding, ding , ding! It is in fact the Allen Henshaw Pre Memorial route. We actually approached it from the top using the Sunset Slabs trail and then traversing and climbing back up to it. Quote
Twiggs Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Is that Robert Downy Jr? Looks like a killer day, I'd love to get on that route. Quote
