fgw
Trip: Stone Mtn., NC - couple easy's Date: 1/1/2010 Trip Report: Went back east to see family for xmas & got a chance to climb a couple (literally 2 due to shitty weather) days at North Carolina's Stone Mtn. Never been before & it was one scary (for me) place to climb. Humbling stuff. Stone's Easy's Gear Notes: most lines it seems require fewer than 3 QD's. some will take a cam or two. JosephH
NC historically has cranked out some of the boldest and creative climbers in the nation.

TarHeelEMT
I was just out there last week. Stone is always a fun, if scary, place to climb.
fgw
when does it normally get too hot/humid to climb there? thnx!
wfinley
Awesome!!! Next time do Great White Way -- the first pitch (White Way Direct) stinks but the second pitch is spectacular. Another super classic is Grand Funk Railroad. As for temps -- the latest we ever went there was early April. After that head to places you can't climb at all winter (like New River, Linville or Looking Glass).
