Steph_Abegg
When autumn arrives in the Enchantments, the basin turns golden as the Alpine Larch trees prepare to shed their needles. This is a spectacular scene like no other. Yesterday I hiked through the Enchantments (Snow Lakes TH - Nada Creek Route - Tamarack Meadows - Prusik Pass - Enchantment Basin - Snow Lakes TH). The larches were spectacular, so I decided to create a "Larch Tree Trip Report" on my website: http://sites.google.com/site/stephabegg/home/tripreports/washington/northcascades/larches A couple of photos: Flaming larches in Tamarack Meadows below North side of Temple Ridge: Remnants of Ice Storm, Yellow Larches, and Prusik Peak: Again, the link to my "Larch Tree Trip Report" on my website: http://sites.google.com/site/stephabegg/home/tripreports/washington/northcascades/larches Edited October 25, 2009 by Steph_Abegg
