So today was my first day off from work in a while so I decided to get up into mountains and enjoy whatever was left of the snow. It was 38 degrees when I left the Stuart Lake TH at 11 am. It shows in the pictures! Most of the snow not on the north facing aspects were melting out by 4 pm. here are some pictures....

Dragontail and colchuck (stuart and sherpa looked the same aka snow on ledges):

Damn! Looks like I went two weeks early. Nice pictures. I wish I wasn't on call this coming weekend...the larches look to be in primo condition. Was the Asgaard Pass trail very slippery? I went up late last fall and it was very sporty coming down, like a steep skating rink.

If it gets too sketchy you can always rappel the cliff band... :lmao:

I'm thinking of a memorial plaque for Assguards victims, right next to the lake. I like the sideways shot of Assguard. It shows its depth and texture really well. The plaque could read something like; "You could've rapped it, but you just HAD to walk."
