Trip: Exfo Dome - Westward Ho

Date: 10/4/2009

Trip Report:

James and I took a nice trip to Blueberry Hill to climb Westward Ho! to the summit yesterday. We replaced 3 missing hangers and removed the copious tat from many 30 meter pro bolt non stations. Rather than leaving crap hanging all over the route, perhaps subsequent parties could bring a second rope and use the stations provided

A great day in the fall on the dome- a bit cold in the am, but it became perfectly warm at 11. Get up there before the snow flies...

The climbing on the last pitches have a bit of vegetation, but it's 5.7- 5.8 on ok gear, reasonably easy route finding, and gets to a great little summit. The summit is one of my favorite camping spots in the Clear Creek.

High on Jacob's Ladder, four routes left of Westward Ho. Chilly!
