layton Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Hey, I'm trying to convert my 6x9" word document into a 6x9" PDF file so I can upload it to the printer. My conversion software does a great job, but scales the pdf to 8.5x11". Anyone know of software or a fix for this problem? Quote
layton Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 I suppose as a last resort I can print it at super high quality and scan it as a 6x9 pdf. Quote
erden Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 scale the output of the PDF in your printer settings until it prints at the size that you need, then you can cut the excess from the edges of the 8.5x11 paper??? Quote
snoboy Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Try OpenOffice? It's a free office suite with a built in export to PDF function. Quote
Mal_Con Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Acrobat does it easily with the full version. Quote
pup_on_the_mountain Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 This option may work for you. Download the free PDF convertor doPDF. From MS Word, select print, and select doPDF as the printer. In the advanced options for the doPDF printer, you can select a custom size for the output PDF file. Here is a test doc that I converted to PDF using doPDF. Quote
layton Posted August 23, 2009 Author Posted August 23, 2009 Thank you! doPDF is the only free one that allowed me to create custom page size. Quote
G-spotter Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Start your command prompt and type "delete C:\*.*" Quote
skykilo Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 why leave the executables? try "delete C:\*" Mike, that'll work better. Quote
