leearden Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I'm looking to get in touch with local badass Jim Langdon for historical purposes. He was notably present in the Cascades in the 60's and 70's, helped push free climbing standards in Yosemite during the 70's, and partnered with Mead Hargis often. I believe he had a park service and/or forest service career. Thanks to anyone who can help direct my search. Quote
billcoe Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Hi son Jody occasionally posts over on Supertopo and if you title a thread the same he'll touch base I'm sure. Quote
pu Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Arden, Â Do you know Brad Gilbert? He is a FS employee in CDA. Bob Loomis would have his number. Either way, I think Jim works for the FS in CDA because I'm pretty sure Brad has mentioned him to me before. Â Good Luck Joe Quote
Dane Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Hey Mtguide would you send me Jim's info as well. Haven't talked to him in 20 years. Thanks. Quote
clintcummins Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Hi son Jody occasionally posts over on Supertopo and if you title a thread the same he'll touch base I'm sure. That is Jody (and Jim) Langford, not Langdon. (pretty darn close, but not the same) Quote
Fred_Beavon Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Jim Langdon, he's most impressive and still going strong with over 63 years of ascents at https://www.peakbagger.com/climber/ClimbListC.aspx?cid=14621, if he's the same Jim Langdon. I've communicated with this one via email, but he's also accessible via Peakbagger if one is a member. Quote
