This was made by plotting the lat-long coordinates of all the +3000ft peaks in Washington. The peaks are broken up by elevation. North Cascades in the middle, Olympic Mtns to the west.

There are a lot of peaks to be climbed!

Very cool. Now if you had each one of those linked to a photo of the mountain and description, that would be rad. Perhaps you should join heads with Scurlock and put something like that together. We would all selfishly enjoy it!!!

I like that idea about putting together a page where each is linked to a photo of the peak....

 

For fun (not posted) I also made a plot where I set all the colors to grayscale and then highlighted in red any peak I have climbed. I think it would be interesting to put together a series of such color coded plots for regular Cascade climbers to see where we are climbing, or take a "peak poll" and make 1 plot where the colors represent how many people listed this peak as a peak they had climbed....
