Steph_Abegg
(Click the above image for a larger version) (Click the above image for a larger version) This was made by plotting the lat-long coordinates of all the +3000ft peaks in Washington. The peaks are broken up by elevation. North Cascades in the middle, Olympic Mtns to the west. There are a lot of peaks to be climbed! -Steph Edited February 18, 2009 by Steph_Abegg

AllYouCanEat
Very cool. Now if you had each one of those linked to a photo of the mountain and description, that would be rad. Perhaps you should join heads with Scurlock and put something like that together. We would all selfishly enjoy it!!!
Steph_Abegg
I like that idea about putting together a page where each is linked to a photo of the peak.... For fun (not posted) I also made a plot where I set all the colors to grayscale and then highlighted in red any peak I have climbed. I think it would be interesting to put together a series of such color coded plots for regular Cascade climbers to see where we are climbing, or take a "peak poll" and make 1 plot where the colors represent how many people listed this peak as a peak they had climbed.... Mtguide
It would be interesting to see a plot of how many of these were first ascents by Fred Beckey.
Steph_Abegg
Anyone know of a listing of the North Cascades by first ascent? Or a list of Beckey's FAs? This would make an interesting plot, I agree....
Layback
That's cool. You should post this over here: http://www.nwhikers.net There's more than a few peakbaggers who would be very interested.
slogon
Nice map. Minor edit, I think Goode, Logan, and Jack Mtn should have pink triangles (9K+).
Wastral
Nice, now make that same map into spire measure. =) Then we get to see how much work it is to the top of each peak. Brian
