Today you're both back to lickin chicken in a capitalistic society wishin, just wishin (as in nothing more), that your wife would invite you back into bed.

Truth is, you're both one generation after that bedouin j_b was talkin about............

Good mornin squirts.

Well I for one just read yesterday that Obama was seriously going to go through the budget line by line and get rid of all the crap. He emphasized that we HAVE to get the deficit down. WE MUST! I can only say, that had he reemphasized it louder during his run, he would have won by an even larger margin. So as long as he is going to out-republican the republicans who only seem to stand for huge deficits and big government, and he wants to do the important things our county MUST archive to survive and move forward: I say if he wants to send his kids to a private school like a real repub, I'm fine with it.

The challenges facing our new president are deep and wide thanks to the previous admin screwing the pooch. I'm glad he's the person leading this charge. We need an inclusive and deep thinker with physical stamina to match the mental depth needed. This is the guy. McCain would have been overwhelmed and we would have been sooooooo screwed.

Obama is hiring what he perceives as the best people to do the job. Not (just) political hacks. Now that's a maverick.

but opposes school choice vouchers

so much for equality

Per one of the central arguments deployed against vouchers, he's depriving the local schools of both the money and the other intangibles that his children, and their participation as parents, could contribute to them.

No one should have to send their kids to crappy public schools if they don't want to, so I don't begrudge him this choice. No one with a choice would send their kids to most of the public schools in DC. Too bad that we could give them the same choice without spending a dollar more on education, but don't.

It means he's paying the extra cash AND paying his taxes for public schools willingly and without whining, just like my parents did, despite being poor as church mice, so he can be against vouchers if he wants. Fuck vouchers; if you want to pay extra and send your kids to private school, go ahead and make the sacrifice like everyone else before you. Cut down on the video games, the big SUVs, or something. Or better yet, don't have kids. Ie, stick your grubby paw that's expecting the rest of us to pay for your fucking little brats back in your pocket and fuck off.

Fuckin' nanny staters, I tell ya.

Did you get somebody preggers recently? A new concern of yours, by any chance?

There is a connection between enrollment and funding, as opponents of vouchers are fond of pointing out.
