McCain spent 5 years being tortured. That should disqualify him "mentally" from being president right off the bat…… And why is he for torture today if he got tortured? What an idiot.

Lack of respect for military heroes is something I'll never understand...

...nor the urge to support any use of the military the government sees fit, lest one appear to be unpatriotic.

Kev, you are a worthless cumdumpster sac of shit. If you took the time to spit the smegma out of your mouth and think about what you were saying, you might actually come across as a decent kid. Unfortunately, you are still mired in the sped underwolrd of conspiracy theories and nhilism

Yes, regurgitate that same hyperbole once more; we might actually believe it.

So you're saying the government is always right, then... is that it?

Sure... use some more hyperbole. That is the answer.

hyperbole

Scott....this seems to be your favorite word.

Well perhaps if you didn't utilize this litterary tool so often, you wouldn't hear me say it. Understand?

Define "this" letterary tool?

WTF are you talking about? You do think about what you write before you unleash your dick skinners on the keyboard?

Funny you should ask....I was about to ask you the same question.

Sea Gal wants so hard to hate America and everything about her, including her heroes.

There's plenty of real heroes in the military KKKKK- as there are in all parts of society; on the other hand, simply being in the military doesn't automatically make one a "hero"- or are you really that enamored by authority? I don't have a problem with the military, I have a problem with the "leaders" who control it. If that makes me "hate America" (talk about hyperbole ) then so be it. But it also makes you a raging hypocrite for all your "don't trust the government" rants while you insulate that same government from criticism in regards to the use of military force- which has some considerable impacts, like, death, for example.

The smart ass response/re-paraphrase of your above comment would be: you love the image of personal power the US military gives you as a citizen of a country that could annihilate any other that you'll give the government a free pass to run our great country right off a cliff.

McCain wasn't "simply in the military". :rolleyes"

Ok. Is he more of a "hero" than the guy who spent all of Vietnam doing requisition? Or working as a mechanic on helo's? We can all empathize with the torture he endured, but that doesn't necessarily make him understand war more than the guy who wasn't tortured. And it certainly doesn't make him more qualified to be president. And I don't think one has to have fought in a war or have served in the military to have a valid and cogent understanding of what war entails and/or how to deal in foreign relations. In fact I'd probably prefer as president someone who hasn't spent their whole life caught up in direct or indirect conflicts.

yes, he is more of a hero than the guy doing requisitioning. duh.

So it's about suffering then? The "hero meter" is driven by how much blood you give, and spill. Is that it? The guy doing requisitioning followed his orders as dutifully as McCain. So did the foot soldier who was lucky enough to not get captured by the VC. But they're not quite as "heroic", is that what you mean?

Sounds like you don't have an answer. I'll be waiting. :yoda:

What is the question?

He could have gone home early but chose to stay behind with his comrades despite the huge personal cost, for one thing. Quit being so fucking contrarian (the only other possibility is that you're stupid, but only Kevbone sinks to this depth of mental retardation).
