lookin2climb Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Hello all. Does anyone have know of a book that has the routes on Gimli? Do anyone have any beta on the good routes on Gimli? Thanks, Tim Quote
jordop Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 The only guidebook is long out of print and had worthless route descriptions. You speak of routes in the plural, but only the south ridge is commonly done. There are a couple of other much less frequently climbed things on the east face and once you stand at the base of it you'll know why. All of the beta you need for the south ridge is here: http://lamountaineers.org/NAC/browserf/climbs/gimli/beta.htm Quote
mccallboater Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 The N face is fun also. I'd like to know the condition of the pocket glacier just over the saddle on the N side facing Mulvey basin. Is it still there? Or has warming done it in? Quote
lookin2climb Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Thanks for the information. I am very interested in doing this route. Quote
