Am I missing something or is that the same price as GU after the shipping paid? I think GU is $1 per 1oz isn't it?

 

Is this Hammer shit a lot better or something, the ingredients seemed quite similar.

Gu on sale runs normally for a $24 a box of 20 and then u have to add the shipping averaging around $6 pricing it at $1.5 an oz

Hammer gel 20oz bottle is $16 with shipping of $6 in my case I ordered 3 so an oz for me cost $0.89which is 40.6 % off on oz Vs Gu

Last december I convinced Gu to sell me a case (288 packs) at wholesale $0.64 per pack. Shipping was less than $30. I think that any motivated climber could do the same. Prior to that my local and small shop that does not carry GU special ordered six packs of the 5 ouncers for $27, shipping included. Still way less than $1 per ounce. The point being I think that Gu can be had for less if you are willing to work a deal.

 

All that being said I plan to give Hammer Gel a try as soon as I finish my stock of GU. I have heard ( on the QT ) that it is better ( dare I say ) from one of Mark Twights climbing partners.

I will have to say that my calculation was wrong…there is 24 in the normal retail box with all said and done…price wise…it work it self to about the same $0.89 a shot…but most of the peoples I have talk to said that Hammer gel is superior to GU….I guess I will see that
