"By purchasing the Alpine Trekker, you have made a commitment to high-performance backcountry skiing. The Alpine Trekker is the finest alpine touring adaptor made, and is backed with a one-year warranty.

It is designed for use in climbing and traversing only—and must always be removed prior to downhill skiing." WTF? How can you have made a commitment to high performance skiing and not go downhill?!?!?! confused.gif" border="0

You will break em if you ski down on them. They are cheap though, so if you or your friend wants to check out AT skiing with little commitment then they are a good choice. At least as long as you already have a downhill setup.

My 2 cents, these things rock, relatively speaking. Not quite randonee but a great getup to getup there if you have the DH setup. Plus a DH setup is way more fun for the descent... A bargain considering the MSR $180. smile.gif" border="0
