Any thoughts on how dry the Lower Town Wall is/ might be after a few drier/sunnier days - such as this weekend? Thanks for the input.

It my not all be dry but I'd bet you would find plenty to climb.

I was out there on Thursday morning figuring the temps in the mid to upper 40's, low winds and 20% chance or rain would yield some aidable conditions. 2 out of 3 wasn't bad but you really want a bit of wind as this time of year that's going to do more drying of the rock than the sun will.

 

Everything was fairly wet when I arrived but by the time I left (11:00 or so) it looked like City Park P1 might be doable without to much slime. Most everything else looked a little dank.

 

Best of luck for this weekend. The Green Drag-on and Town Crier crews of awhile back found good times regardless of the wet and wind.

We had a rockin time on Town Crier a few weeks ago in the snow. The fourth class bits were... exciting. A few friends were on the Drag-on.

It won't be anything like that. It's pretty soggy right this instant.

 

I think Monday is supposed to be a nice day for something....sun and stratospheric freezing levels depending on who you ask.

It's hard to climb when it's wet and it rains.

But as they have said, it's fine to go up there.

The utw will probably br dry if it doesn't rain anym ore today and the wind blows. DHLA, wait the first pitch of most everything will most likely be wet. we'll see on sunday
