definitely doing serenity into sons...cpf is on the list too...

 

I'd like to do free blast with him and then bivy up there...but that'd be a lllllllong day for the little fry...

why don't you warm up on the arches next day do CPF next day do serenity and sons take a rest day and do the free blast. that sounds like a great trip. i can't believe he's eight, you gotta be frickin jazzed your son digs climbing that much, good on ya man.

 

when and how long are ya down there for?

we head down the first weekend of june...i'm pulling him out of school for 3 days...

 

You know...i completely spaced arches....good suggestion!

 

You are right about how stoked i am at him being eight and digging climbing...

 

now here's the real kicker...he absolutely HATES plastic and the gym...he'll literally go and do 1 route and then just sit there saying "this sucks"...:lmao:

june is the month, long days and you can count on the weather. heads up, hauling on the free blast can suck around the half dollar. try to whip your haul line over so it's a straight haul from the anchor above so you can keep it out of the chimney.

i've done freeblast...we hauled to heart and stashed stuff...not sure what shape those fixed lines are in right now...

 

Just send the little guy up trailing a rope. his/her weight is way safer. ;)
