DPS Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I am curious how the climbers on Colchuck peak on Monday fared. What route did you climb, how were the snow/ice conditions? We bailed from our intended route on Dragontail because the slopes below Asgard pass were windloaded and neither my partner or I wanted to be #10 this year. Oh, and Triple Couloirs looked to be on its way to forming, more so than years past at this time. Quote
suckbm Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 UW_climber aka jesse soloed the NBC and said cold, lots of spindrift, but overall good. Quote
rob Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Hey Dan, can you do me a favor and check your tent? I think my glasses are crunched up in there. Quote
Jens Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Way to get after it Jesse! It was certainly cold! Quote
UW_climber Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 yeah it was as cold as banff last year when we went. My toes were actually cold for a little while w/ the intuition liners! It was fun though, some alpine ice, a few fun mixed moves and not too much postholing. Quote
DPS Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 It felt really cold, my toes were numb for a couple of days. Quote
