hafilax Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 The Back Country Access site has a list of beacon training park locations. I don't know how up to date it is though. I'll see if I can find the one in Whistler next time I'm there with time to kill. Quote

It's set up behind the yurt on a run called I-5, off of the Big Chief chair. Come to the patrol room to check out the box that activates the beacons. Currently there are only two, but more to come soon. Quote
Hugh Conway Posted January 18, 2008 Author Posted January 18, 2008 I was hoping to use this thread to provide more detailed information than the bcaccess site. Beacon basin > beach. I'll see if I can find the one in Whistler next time I'm there with time to kill. If you could that would be cool Thanks hefeweizen! Quote
snoboy Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Red Mountain in the West Kootenays (barely the PNW...) has one, between twr 2 and 3 of the base area lift. Quote
dmarch Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Alpental has one, pretty sure it's up and running now. Get the control box from ski patrol. Quote
