Step 1: Join CascadeClimbers.com

Step 2: Move to Seattle

Step 3: Learn how to climb big, snowy, wind-swept, glaciated peaks

So far I have completed steps 1 & 2, and need to find people who are willing to help me push my game from a weekend Sierra scrambler to a fledgling Cascade Mountaineer.

I'm settling into my new surroundings in Seattle over the holidays here, but will be clammerin' for some new outdoor adventures come 2008. If anyone is interested in meeting up for a beer or coffee sometime in the next couple weeks to meet/greet and swap climbing stories, please let me know.

I'd like to find folks like myself; deeply conflicted between a life of adventure/ wilderness travel, and the realities of life in the working world. With any luck, our schedules and personalities may actually sync well enough to utilize some day's off for skiing, climbing, hiking, or some mix of all three.

Welcome to the rain......

You forgot step 4: to buy a rope and a rack and start rock climbing.

Step 5. Grow gills.

I am in Redmondia. Far East side of civilization. Not quite in the redneck zone.

If you drive over here I will slurp coffee or beer.

You will, in time, realize that cascade choss is not near the quality of the sierra granite. You will learn the meaning of "Epic" quickly climbing here.
