MS Word

So, I am forced to use a Gateway laptop at work. Recently I was given a copy of the newest MS Office as a gift. I loaded it onto the work laptop and now I can't open any of the .doc files I created using the older version of Word.

 

I'm curious...

 

WTF is up with that?!?

I have never had these kinds of problems with WordPerfect. In my opinion it has been a superior product ever since the beginning.
