So, I am forced to use a Gateway laptop at work. Recently I was given a copy of the newest MS Office as a gift. I loaded it onto the work laptop and now I can't open any of the .doc files I created using the older version of Word.

 

I'm curious...

 

WTF is up with that?!?

Like I said, I am FORCED to use a windoze machine at work.

 

I use OS X at home.

 

OpenOffice will open and edit my MS Word 03-created .doc files?
