If the illegal aliens take over the country and take my home, will I at least get to run a casino and sell firecrackers?

Probably depends if their courts choose to honor, or not, any treaties signed with your people.

I would not count on it... most of the Dakota Territories were signed, by treaty, to the Sioux Nation. Once white man found gold there, they found a way to break that treaty.

I volunteer you to leave first and show us the way.

Who said anything about leaving? Just pointing out the hypocrisy of white Americans that want to keep others out of 'our' land.

What's your point then other than making a blindingly brilliant statement of the obvious?

Wow, you must have been so blinded that you can't read.

Nope, just not dazzled by your attempts at 'enlightening' us po' folks about the obvious. While the situation apropos aboriginal Americans was/is tragic, there's precious little we can do about it. Meanwhile, intelligent people are able to discuss a topic of concern in the present without making sophomoric comments like "Gee, I wonder what the American Indians would have thought of your stance on illegal immigration?". So, again, what exactly is your point other than displaying your guilty conscience publically?

Regardless of whether or not you personally are dazzled; and regardless of whether or not you personally can comprehend the point, the point is valid.

We took this land by force, and it is hypocritical for us to now sit back and attempt to take the higher moral ground and label other immigrants 'illegals'.

Next time you need your hand held to understand a simple concept, ask your 3rd grade teacher. But if everything has to be 'dazzling' before you can follow it, maybe wait until the MTV version of US history comes out.

I've read a great deal of history books (as well as some incredible books by Native Americans) and don't wish to downplay the horrors that were visited upon these people.

But enough with the "we were so bad to them". I don't know about you, but I was born here and didn't kill anyone for the land I own. My parents are legal immigrants--I am the first in my family to be born in this country. Neither I, nor anyone in my family, did any of these bad things you are talking about.

And before considering saying that I am the beneficiary of these previous actions--well, I'm sure as shit not going to feel guilty about that. Hell, I don't even feel too guilty about all the bad stuff my Viking ancestors did. Damn near everyone comes from a group that either shit all over other people or got shit on by other people. It ain't pretty, but it ain't something I am going to stay awake at night wondering how I can possibly make reparations to everyone else in the world.

But who's taking a moral high ground? They're just saying "it's mine and you can't have it." This is simple law of the jungle stuff, everything happens by force. What's more pathetic about the alarmists is their unconscious decision to blame immigrants, instead of our own domestic market forces and complete lack of business integrity that allow it all to happen. Stupid Americans who will curse immigrants, while at the same time obliviously pouring money into companies reaping profits from slave wage immigrant labor.

How many dollars did you spend today to support illegal immigration? (Hint: the answer is not zero.)

I want to enforce the employment laws because everyone who works here deserves the same legal protection w/r/t wages, working conditions, benefits, etc. Even if it means my lettuce will cost more.
