olyclimber
I'm in. Hopefully the people coming up in the car with me are able to hang out too ...
olyclimber
OK, I will try this thing: Folks who come up and volunteer are welcome to come for beer/food/fire afterward in the shadow of the mighty Town Wall if they're so inclined... I have: Plenty of outside space A firepit and lots of wood A grill & lots of charcoal I will have some beer and grillable food to offer but people should probably bring some of each. All bets are off if it's nasty; my house is pretty little. Do you have a cooler to store beer/meat in?

ken4ord
So what happened out there? Did people show up and do some good?
olyclimber
Ken, The turnout was a little disappointing considering the number of people who climb at Index on a regular basis and the proximity making it not a huge inconvenience to get out and help for a day...but that said we had a some motivated people show up and build a short section of trail, as well as doing a bunch of maintainance of existing trail. We also had a BBQ at MisterMo's afterward. http://www.washingtonclimbers.org/Forums/showthread.php?p=1390#post1390
