KingsMM Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Anyone been to the Weeping Wall at Bluewood recently? Any ice ? Quote
sws Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I headed there the past two weekends and this past weekend found the conditions fading fast. I doubt the ice makes it through this week. Quote
kurthicks Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 i'm sure it's still in. long drive from PDX though. I had friends climb there last weekend. check temperature data here: www.bluewood.com Quote
ClimbingPanther Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 (edited) One of my friends was up there a week ago, I think (not exactly sure on the time), and he said it wasn't that good. "Weeping" was the operative word. Agree, probably not worth the drive (not just trying to keep it for myself or anything ) Edited February 6, 2007 by ClimbingPanther Quote
KingsMM Posted February 6, 2007 Author Posted February 6, 2007 Thanks for the info! I am trying to climb there this weekend. what are the odds there is any climbable ice there? Quote
kurthicks Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 There will be ice for sure, just bring a raincoat. I've climbed there much later in the season since it's located around 4000' and in the shade. Quote
Jake_Gano Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I was there last weekend. More ice than this time last year. Lots more ice. But it was all going pretty fast. I ended up soaked from head to toe. It looked like I just left the shower. Yeah, I don't know if there will be much next weekend. Quote
