chrisr Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 ahh, I've lead a sheltered life apparently. I have honestly never heard that before. This forum has taught me so much, thank you trogdor. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 :lmao: Wait, it's not so funny when you have to explain it to someone Quote
powderhound Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 what kind of safety meeting?? I down for a little safety meeting right now. But I found out the hard way that I was not meant to have a safety meeting before I climb WI5. I take way to long and end up a bit more paranoid about my screws. Quote
nunya Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 We did a four pitch route on west side of banks lake saturday the 20th. We brought a drill and checked thickness of ice a couple of times and it was four to six inches thick the whole way. The climb was WI 4-5. Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 That sounds great. Do you have any photos? Those westside routes look awesome. Was the ice on the lake 4-6", or the climb? Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted January 25, 2007 Author Posted January 25, 2007 Yeah, let's see some pics  Quote
cfire Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Just came back Tuesday from Banks. Everything is going away fast. The top pitch of Cable started coming down on us as we did the lower pitch. We ran away. Emerald was pouring, but we topped the thing to the left as it was fairly dry. Zenith was very wet...as in drowning wet. Temperature was 37 when we left. Quote
nunya Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 here are some pics of the west side of banks on the 20th. Quote
gregrehn Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 crossed the lake last weekend and did the largest of the 3 lines. It took 45min to cross the lake and the climb was 4 pitches of great ice. Quote
Paul_detrick Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Did Champagne today was in great shape, would make a great weekend climb, may not last if it warms up. Quote
