climbaround Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 I was cc skiing with the wife up the Mt. Loop yesterday (gorgeous day, great ski conditions). We were surprised to find the large bridge washed out on the trail up to Big Four. Knee high waders should get you across nearby though. The crust from last week was not firm enough to support me, so conditions for climbing are not good, but the face is frozen solid - even the waterfall above the ice caves! Quote
Chad_A Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Wow, purty Thanks for posting the pic and info. Quote
Jens Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Thanks. I was wondering about that bridge. Quote
kadyakerbob Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Good question, i was wondering just that. Has anyone been up there lately and tested the conditions? I am contemplating either that or new york gully for this coming sunday. Should be clear but will the snow be firm and the ice solid?..... Quote
