BillA Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 I just drove from Vail to Denver in the middle of this goddamn storm. I thought I was going to die. It took me six hours. The mixed climbing in Vail is awesome. That is all. Quote
carolyn Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 no shit, now Im thinkin I was lucky that my trip got canned. I was suppose to be in Ouray right before the first storm hit, then needing to travel to denver area on xmas. My flight out would have been tomorrow. Sounds to me I would have spent a lot more time on the road and in the airport than climbing and with family. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Dude, I drove over Roger's Pass in the middle of a huge blizzard in a Ford Fairmont with 130K miles on it, probably THE worst handling vehicle ever invented. Between the highway hypnosis, the semis, and the fear of doing multiple 360s on steep, cliffy grades, I share your pain. Enjoy the storm's aftermath. It must be some SWEET skiiing. Quote
joblo7 Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 there 's no snow in forecast for fallujah. yeah... we got it bad.. Quote
BillA Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 I'm so confused by your post. What does Fallujah have to do with anything? So I'm already bored with being stuck in Denver and it's only been like three hours. The question is, will I make it down to Durango for New Years Eve? I sure hope so. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 (edited) You will make it to Durango, Allah willing, my son. If Allah is angry...you will be stuck in Colorado Springs. Edited December 29, 2006 by tvashtarkatena Quote
BillA Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 So true, but if I do get stuck in the springs, will I get to meet my hero and avatar photo model Ted Haggard? Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Has the good reverend not slipped quietly away from the beachhead of the new Christian era by now? Quote
