wdietsch Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Any of you life long PDXer's have any ideas on a place to have a small office party, preferably off of I-205, SE Vancouver or NE Portland/Gresham Small group approx 12-15 people. A place with some fun and activity, maybe some pool, darts, etc ... not to smokey, with good food, music, maybe sports bar kind of thing. No wet T-shirt contest's and such since the wives will be in attendance Quote
Off_White Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Rose & Raindrop? It's a little deeper in than you're looking, but they have Terminal Gravity on tap. Personally, I think that should be your first criteria in site selection. Quote
wdietsch Posted December 6, 2006 Author Posted December 6, 2006 (edited) thought of that one ... TG IPA is always a good reason ... a little too smokey (at least the last time I was there) and we didn't really want to be right downtown PDX Winter, rbw1963, MtnHigh, Sketchfest, Funguy, Nolse ... help me out here Edited December 6, 2006 by wdietsch Quote
Winter Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Wes, there is a ton of places in NE Pdx. Alameda Brewing. Kennedy School woudl be a good choice for a work function. Newish place on Killingsworth and 43nd that serves TG. There's also this N Po hot spot. Good for a memorable work function. Quote
kevbone Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Rose & Raindrop? He said no smoking. That place smells like a ashtray. Man, when is Oregon going to follow WA with no ban on smoking in public places. Quote
ryland_moore Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Kennedy School is awesome. You can rent out the Library, perfect for that size then go explore the other areas. Our office does this every year and then stays overnight. Fun times overall..... Quote
Couloir Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Its a bit out there, but we had a great company party at Edgefield. There are a ton of cool mini-bars (Red Shed) when the party starts to mellow out and the drinkers rise up. And when people get too hammered, you can also get a room. Perhaps even hook up with that cute gal you thought wasn't married. 8D Quote
sketchfest Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Sorry man, wrong side of town for me, I think the Kennedy School would be your best bet Quote
rbw1966 Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Edgefield. Good luck trying to book something now though. Quote
Couloir Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 With a little flexibility in schedule, fitting 10-15 people in shouldn't be too big a deal. There are a lot of options out there for places to have your gathering. Get creative, it's worth a shot. Quote
