Jake
Where does the trail up to Terror Basin branch off of the old logging road? Somehow we missed it last time and ended up getting to Terror Creek on another rough but flagged trail that eventually leads up the ridge to the Barrier. dmarch
It's at about 4 miles, after crossing a stream (last water for a long time late in the season). The trail starts from an obvious campsite which sometimes has a fire ring or cairn. It also switches back on itself at an angle which makes it easier to spot once you are beyond it, looking back. Good luck!

Mos_Chillin
There's an obvious clearing/bivi site at around the 4-mile mark. The trail to Terror Creek becomes considerably narrower (continuing on), or there is an obvious trail to the right of the clearing. If you are on narrow singletrack, you have gone too far. Rad
All of the above is true. Look for an open area/campsite 100yds past the creek around 4 miles out. The trail heads straight up. It's marked with a cairn and sticks in an arrow.
