jshamster Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Does MEC, Valhalla or Climb On sell copperheads? Alternatively, any aid climbers have extra they want to unload? Cheers. Jimbo Quote
peas Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 at least mec does. valhalla and climb on most likely too. Quote
olyclimber Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 so who pasted in the copperhead to the left of the start of Green Drag-on on UTW about 6 feet off the ground? Bad form or a visionary new route? Quote
Peter_Puget Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 There is an old visionary route left of Green Drag. As far as heads look on the web for detailed instructions (Supertopo had them once) and then go to a boat store with a press and make your own. It is cheaper doing it yourself. I have made dozens and never had one fail. If you made them, you could call them Hamster Heads! Quote
olyclimber Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 take a look next time you're up there...it just looks like someone was practicing placing a head. Quote
jshamster Posted July 23, 2006 Author Posted July 23, 2006 Considering I work for West Marine, I have thought about doing this. Guess I'll just have to go press a few a do some product testing. Oly, I have heard rumours of the route next to Green Drag-On being done in the last six months or so. All heads and hooking? or something. Jimbo Quote
snoboy Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 You work for a a store with a swager and you are looking to buy heads??? They are far from rocket science, and chances are they will fail in their placement before even a half assed swage lets go. Quote
jshamster Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 Yeah, I shouda been makin' my own by now. Maybe I go into business? Buck apiece? Jimbo Quote
Sol Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 so who pasted in the copperhead to the left of the start of Green Drag-on on UTW about 6 feet off the ground? Bad form or a visionary new route? Proabaly dragontail, a3+ direct start to green dragon, easily topropeable from anchors at base of p2. Quote
