jrs Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Anyone been up Garibaldi via Elfin Lakes/East Face route recently. Any beta? Should we lug snowshoes (group of 6 not everyone has skis) -- Thanks Quote
jordop Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Kinda too late or too early for an enjoyable ascent. The final face is steep enough to make it not fun for snowshoes. The route down into ring Creek is also apparently a real mess now. From bivouac: Lottsa isothermics lately. Squamish mainline blocked: Quote
G-spotter Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 You'd better have a sunny day and a clear night before an ascent. That will be a lot more useful than either skis OR snowshoes. Quote
PaulB Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Here's how it went down a couple of weeks ago for a group in which one guy was on skis and the other was on foot/snowshoes. Quote
tobytortorelli Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 We had a great ski on Tuesday. See attachment. Bergshrund stil passable on snowbridge... Quote
