Forker
Does anyone know how bad the bugs are in the Liberty Bell/Early Winter Spires area? The select guides say that they are particularly bad in July. Thanks!
DPS
A week and a half ago we encountered no bugs. There was still a lot of snow at that time.
michaeljosephnozel
Just returned from the Wine Spires last night--some mosquitos; some black flies. Not too bad yet, but I've seen them so thick you could hardly stand still and exchange a word with your partner. (Almost void of snow around Wine Spires; quite a bit left around Liberty Bell group). Forker
Sadly we didn't get to Liberty Bell area. Prusik via the West Ridge is a great route on fantastic rock. Thanks to anyone who posted about the area recently!
vegetablebelay
As of this past weekend, lots of mosquitoes as soon as you get out of the car at the Blue Lk TH. They ease up as you get into the woods aways but are thick again as you get up into the basin below Lib Bell.
