Volunteer Opportunities for Climbers

'Tis the season to think about something other than your own selfish ass.

 

I'm sure everyone out there would like to give more back to the community.

 

If you're like me, you find all your good intentions are buried beneath your climbing plans.

 

So...If you know of any organizations- or if you are an organization- that need climbing-related volunteers (no matter how remote the connection), post your volunteer opportunity here. Taking disadvantaged youth out of the city for a day of climbing? Clothing drive for Pakistani earthquake refugees? Post it here.

REI is having a Pakistan Relief Drive from Dec 15-29 and there is a kick off party and auction tomorrow at 7:00pm. Jim Wickwire, Jim Whittaker, and Steve Swenson are supposedly going to be present there at the flagship store downtown. Not sure if someone else posted this or not. REI Pakistan Relief
