Comments on Banff film fest?

Solid on the adrenaline and testosterone. Weaker than past years in terms of humor, originality and international flavor. Stone Thrower and Solilochairliftquist were clever but short.

Overall: C- but still worth seeing.

bouldering thing was lame. Little girl reminded me of JonBenet Ramsey. I wish they'd shown the flyfishing film or the old guy's paragliding film.

I saw the road show version in Nanaimo and enjoyed it although It was a little heavy on the skiing aspect and light on the adventure end of things for my tastes. I like more mountaineering and adventure than watching some rich kids doing heli drops to go snowboarding. But all in all it was worth seeing.

I thought the parasailing short was weak, but a buddy of mine loved it. If Will had spouted one more time "I can't beleive I'm FLY-ing over the GRAND CAN-yon!!" I was going to lose it.

A pretty somber ending, I agree. Too bad poor Patrick didn’t hang up the axe in favor of snowboarding off cornices or Red-Bull-fueled cliff biking - those youngsters came out OK!

Different show every night – kinda like the Dead.

Apparently the local sponsor has some control over which films get shown in their venue. Of the ones you mentioned Dru, in Bham we saw the TGR, the Red Bull bike cruncher and the chairlift shortie. The Ladakh one you saw sounds like the type I thought was missing this year.
