Cando Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Anybody have information on either of these two routes?Permits needed (no. parties allowed) the approach, are these considered technical or non-techincal routes, etc. I searched and it's all about the NE ridge route. Thanks in advance. Quote
Off_White Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Well, and what's great about the NE Ridge is more position and overall experience rather than the climbing itself. Quote

Koolaid Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 (edited) ...Sorry for the large format, I'll take it down if I can't get it smaller. Is there an HTML code that reduces the picture size (anyone?) Â - Nevermind, it's [-med.jpg] Edited August 18, 2005 by Koolaid Quote
lunger Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 tangent: best to approach N Central Rib via Triumph pass or from NE ridge notch? anybody know? sounds from above like T. Pass is sucky... Â thanks in advance. Quote
TeleRoss Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 not super sure, but it didn't look like it would be bad going from the NE Ridge notch. Maybe a rap here or there but it seems like way easier than Triumph Pass. Quote
Off_White Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Guys I saw do N-Central a few years ago approached from NE ridge notch, they didn't have any approach problems. They spent the night beforehand on the ledge a pitch and a half up the NE ridge, picked up their stuff on the descent. Seemed like a decent plan. Quote
