Dave_Schuldt Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Balsalt Peak, a great ride! Did it last Sunday. The best part was ride down through a snow shower. Quote
klenke Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 ...and your wipe out just out of frame to the right. I climbed Mt. Wow (by Mt. Rainier) on Monday and was snowed on real lightly above 5,000 ft. There was ~4 inches of freshiez above that elevation. Quote
ken4ord Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Nice picture Dave. I went on a 100k mountain bike ride this last weekend on Saturday. No Fresheeez to report over here. Gisenyi to Kibuye 1 Gisenyi to Kibuye 2 Quote
thelawgoddess Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Gisenyi to Kibuye 2 that must have been amazing! Quote
BreezyD Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Klenke - Which side did you approach from? We tried to approach Mt. Wow from the trailhead right inside the park entrance and encountered a unrelentingly steep trail with a record number of blowdowns. Didnt get too high up the ridgeline before we got caught up in some cliffs and had to turn around anyway because of time. I sat there eating my beef jerky thinking ... "there has got to be a better way ... " Got a better way? Brianna Quote
Kitergal Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 wow K! How on earth did you get hooked up with this gig? This looks beyond amazing! Quote
ken4ord Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Well it not all fun and games, wish I got to go mountain biking every day, but alas gotta pay the bills, even all the way over here. The short of the long story, my gf moved out here and I came out, within two weeks I was working, I was actually thought it would take longer to find work and was looking forward to the time off. Oh well, still having a good time. Quote
